Paul, If the images you see in reflective surfaces, etc.,are reflected light, then you may use a thin glass slide set at an angle to the surface you are viewing and photograph the image diverted to the side by the glass surface. This use of thin glass to split images is called a beam splitter. Try to avoid blocking light shining on your original reflecting surface with the beam splitter. Dark felt cloth along side may be needed to increase contrast in the beam splitter. Beam splitters have been used in large format cameras in viewfinders. Joe
