Hello Gizmo
Well found article, made for a very interesting read, thank you!
I don't think this paper provides proof that an injury can make you more psychically sensitive but that patients who have certain brainwaves patterns post injury, report common experiences of psychic phenomena.
Using a pin wheel as a control is not effective. You can get one to turn with the heat from your hands, in a hotel room as cited in the paper, there would have been drafts from windows and possibly an air conditioning unit. A Crooks Radiometer can be moved by heat or light, these days they are sold as toys not scientific tools; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crookes_radiometer .
Magnetic fields are said to have an effect on the brain as the authors discuss on page 530+ but when pulses were used as stimulation on their test patient, it didn't result in significant phenomena. As the main focus of their paper is a hearer of AVHs (Audio Verbal Hallucinations), I wasn't surprised that they suggested anticonvulsants and CBT as therapy.
I'm not convinced by this paper as proof of telekinesis but it was a good read.
Best wishes,
