The Setup: Emerson PC6 5.5" CRT color portable TV. ASKA AM-125 +25dB RF line amplifier. RCA ANT112R antenna. Phillips Magnavox PM61138 RF modulator. Sony DCR-DVD108 DVD camcorder. Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. Custom Sony AM Linear sweep box. Custom Sony AM PPRS-1 sweep box. The idea was to use the RF modulator to create a carrier signal, boost it as much as possible with the RF amplifier, and then use the antenna to transmit the video into the TV, thus creating an RF induced video feedback loop. The crude transmitter is very weak, but will transmit up to about 10 feet. I have a ton of video to go through direct from the DVD camcorder. Here are a few off hand cellphone shots reduced to 25%. Looks like you're heading in a good direction. I noticed some peeps are sending audio out through the video port. Doesn't seem to make a difference but then again, I tossed out most of my old analog stuff when I downsized, so I have nothing to play with. |

I'm wondering if a web cam recording the computer screen might work. I've been trying to figure this out without using analog |

Phoenix, I've seen it done. I can't say I've seen the results, but people are using webcams pointed at their LCD screens. Personally, I like the idea of shooting electrons at a 10,000V phosphorus anode, steered by electromagnets. If you have the stuff, it wont cost anything but time to try it. |
