I've puzzled and puzzled until my puzzler was sore, on the concept of a "random" voltage sweep.

Not so sure anything can be 100% random, especially when it is contained within a certain set or parameters, peak to peak voltage etc..

I know Frank built the RVG, I don't know enough about his circuit to comment on it.
I would like to see it on a scope, or a walk through describing what it is going on.

I think I'm _____ outta luck on that one.

It sounds Better on FM than AM, do to it's choppy nature. Also I think the FM's concentration of bandwidth helps.

Can't beat an old fashion linear sweep for AM.

I may need to try it on a radio, in which the voltage required to swing the varactors, is less.

peak to peak on this guy is about 6v, with a dead battery (almost 8v). I am assuming I can get another volt on a fresh cell.

We'll see.
