This will be 2 different post's, The first one will be an audio file of my wife working next door cleaning up in a kitchen of a man who's wife just passed away, This clip is amplified and no one is speaking and are just some sounds of her while cleaning, (Note: You will hear the wife sigh) Question is can you hear any words before looking at the second post? The second post will be the words that I believe to be hearing 2 simple words or is my brain just working overtime? Thanks Ray Attachment: Brain Test.wav (Downloaded 844 times)

Hello again Ray, As far as the brain making sense of different sounds, Audio Rorschach and its a la carte cousins Paredolia, Apophenia and Simulacrum are very real. However, old guys like us have a lifetime of experiences to help us hone our perceptual senses. Whether this gives us an edge in listening for Evp is something that has not really been explored. So on the one hand, can ambient noise be perceived as speech....absolutely. On the other hand, we know that transform Evp is more than possible. Seems to me that the question of the brain working overtime to determine if an Evp exists boils down to a matter of intelligent guesswork. That's a call only you can make. Ron

Ron, Thanks for listening to the clip,The wife actually did the recording and was very careful to not speak during this, But when I played it for her, she could not hear what I thought I was hearing, But when I pointed it out and told her what thought I could hear it was only then could she could hear it.(Power of Suggestion?) Which makes we wonder about Paredolia and the power of Suggestion. Here is another example, This clip is amplified and you will hear the loud ambient room noise (Static) then you will hear water running through a faucet as she turns it on and perhaps the wife bumping into somethings as she's cleaning. No one is speaking but yet I believe to hearing a possible evp? Or do I? What if anything..Do you hear? (I can hear it so clear I actually had to go look to see if it something did happen.) Here is a link to a video showing a spectrogram image of the above file with a 2 step ambient noise removal process that will not distort the original file. What Do I Hear? The whispered word "Earthquake" Ray https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtSdKilMLsc&feature=em-upload_owner#action=share

Power of suggestion does play a factor. By the time you upped your video, I had already came to an interpretation. What I heard is a 4 word comment: I don't mind this After watching your video I did hear Earthquake in both your clip and the one I used a slight filter on. However, moving on to watch a couple of other youtube posts, I returned to your video and it changed to the 4 word interpretation. I couldn't even make myself hear Earthquake no matter how hard I concentrated. Go Figure. Here's my lightly filtered version: Attachment: Brain Sound Test 2-ByRon.mp3 (Downloaded 940 times)

Ron, That's really interesting, I can hear exactly what your hearing, (?) (There's that Brain Thing again) I have not gone back to my clip after hearing yours, I will wait until Monday morning to listen my version again to see if it has changed and which version I can hear. Thanks again Ray
