Hi everyone,

I was wondering, what would be the best webcam software to use for ITC?

Unfortunately I don't have a camcorder at the moment so I'm looking to experiment using my webcam until I can get better equipment.  I'm struggling to find a program which will allow me to record while I'm previewing in fullscreen.
Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thats a difficult question. Webcams are generally low quality, and they come with their own software that would allow you to record as you view. I don't think they go full screen, but you can get quite large.

Some people use their camcorders and other devices and run them through something like Adobe Premiere (expensive as heck!)

I prefer Logitech over Creative, you have more control. I'd also stick with major well-known brands for a webcam.

If you're specifically talking of recording a portion of your screen while the webcam is running, there are free programs out there like camstudio that will allow you to record things that happen on your desktop.
