 I forgot to make the point that what surprised me is that apparently a generated tone by audio software seems to not be a good substitute for an electronic circuit.

What's the difference between my previous experiments with recorded cd's and this one? The electronic circuit, (Black Box test circuit) uses a 555 integrated chip with oscillation. I'm also using two capacitors in the circuit.
