That seems to be in the range to look though. "The voiced speech of a typical adult male will have a fundamental frequency from 85 to 180 Hz, and that of a typical adult female from 165 to 255 Hz." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_frequency I'm open to suggestions on where to look. Not too fond of the idea of looking at the reverse track or using pitch shifters to bring the low end up to the vocal range though. I also seem to think that using noise generators is counter productive, since a lot of "time" is spent cleaning it up and getting rid of ambient static around the abnormality.
