Thank you both so much for helping me figure this out. I immediately got live EVP from my son. Twice he said his name, once his full name, and he mentioned that he had named our cat Lainai (pronounced Lye Nye), which is true--although we got Lainai after he died, I had the strong feeling he put the name in my head since it was a name that Braden used to use for some of his friends (long story) and it fit the cat perfectly.
