We were using a Radio Shack 469 and got a response from this question:

"What color shirt does Tom have on?"

I was wearing a white shirt.

Ive got my own 12-469 since I did the hack on it I've recorded 3 hours of sweep sessions and have pulled out over 200 audio clips.I live on the river in a boat, the dock has a metal roof that limits loud radio stations and I put the 469 in a open metal lunch box to further limit
radio signals and help filter out static. my evps are clear and also at night the fm sweep works well too.To learn more go to (Dead Air) on blogtalk radio Internet show specializing in on air spirit requests and host records clips and reviews back to you,its a great show check it out you will learn alot

Excellent example of a proper sweep tuning technique! I enjoyed this clip. I can hear your question, followed by an answer, and the contrast of the variety of the other radio chatter.

If more people were to follow this protocol, sweep tuning would acquire more credibility. Of course, the challenge is that the response originates from other people's voices.

Superb sample!
