Up down staircase generator, has the same effect as a hacked radio--complete with chufing sound.

Now I have step sweep micro TV..Seems to work. Gettign the pulse generator to run on 27V a little tricky. Ya can't bias the op for 1/2 power supply.

I post videos of boxes and TV sweep on Facebook. It's more difficult to put video here.

The schematic as shown needs 2 chips.
One for the top half (LM3900) and one for the lower half (LM358).

This is awesome.....
Made me think of a different way to produce a stair step.....
basically a hex inverter for a clock, triggering a decade counter.
Out of each output of the decade counter you would put a voltage divider....preferably on a potentiometer.....that way you can adjust each one independently, and get a different voltage per output......

Unfortunately with all the outputs tied together..... seems the voltage flows backwards through all of the voltage dividers...it causes an extremely low output voltage.... I'm thinking diodes....

If you tie all the cathodes of the voltage dividers together and put a cap between them and ground, also between the output voltage and ground, you can give your wave some sexy curves.... This pretty much destroys any resemblance of a stair case wave......but if gives you a cool way to modify your sweep waves.....

you can also get close on a linear up sweep
