Hello,
I hope everyone is well!
I was doing some reflective video recording and stripped the audio off of the file and listened to it. During the clip, you can here me say, "There's one.... Do it again... *clink*..." and after the *clink* you hear a "pop" and a whisper. It is VERY clear and there's no question that is says "See you later, Vera." (it might say Vern - that part is hard to hear).
here is the "rub"
My Mother in law is British and was visiting. This sounds simlilar to her voice except she had JUST arrived when the video was being recorded and she was nowhere near me when I was recording. This I am 99.9999999% positive.
Before I get too excited about a catching Class A EVP, I'd like to have someone else look into it.
So, my question is:
Does anyone know a definitive way to analyze an audio clip to be certain it is ethereal? I have seen "Spectrograph" in which it appears the expectred EVP was yellow - thus differentiating it from human voice. Would someone like to take a look?
There are a few more EVP's on the overall video - I hope to have them up to you all soon for your comments
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
This sounds like an evp to me - you can get a pretty good idea by listening to the reverse of the recording as evp's do not sound anything like reversed human speech. I can clearly hear 'see you later' in the forward, in the reverse it sounds like 'you wont hear Lisa'
Well done, it is a good class A capture.

Hi Rick,
I hear as you do. The word Vera is fainter because of another response that overlaps it.
I recall the last evp you posted also had a British accent to it.
Looking forward to your Water-ITC.

Thank you, Allison!
I believe it is EVP as well, but wanted to get some more ears on it. I am going to have my Mum whisper "See you later" inot her PC and play both recordings forward and backward to analyse more.
I had never heard about the difference between reverse EVP vs. reverese Human speech. Will check it out!
Thanks again!

So, the next few files were in the same session. The very first one - the "See you later" - was the best quality. The following was the next in the string of EVP's found in the audio. They are whsipers and barely audible in the "hiss" of the background noise.
I use Audactiy and really don't like the "tinkle" that comes with that products Noise Removal feature, so I posted them as is.
If anyone is good at guessing "frequency" opf the whispered EVP, I'd be interested in your guess of the frequency rnge. I could try the High Pass & Low Pass filters on them to bring them out if I knew a starting point.
Let me know if you hear what I hear?
Thanks!

My father in law's name is Tom. I had just made a crack about him "teasing" Spirit pictures as looking like a dog while we were recording! LOL

This one is an ethereal "Help" or "Hello", I believe. It did not sound distressed, so I am going with "Hello" - Naturally, a suspected British accent seems present.

... and finally, while I was trying to find the right angle on the video camera to get the best reflection, I had said "I can't seem to get a good reflection", then this.
Let me know if you hear what I hear??
Thank you all, as always!Attachment: Go with it.mp3 (Downloaded 899 times)

Hello ReshRick
I can clearly hear your initial clip, "see you later", it falls into a similar vein as some that I've recorded.
It wasn't too long after I began recording seances that I captured some very odd speech. The voices of those in the room had been hijacked to say words that they most definitely did not say. The top section on the following page has examples of the captures: http://www.evp-voices.info/evp-voices_examples-of-voice-patterns.html
Like you, we were all 99.99% sure that we hadn't said the words that could be heard on playback. I'd never come across the phenomena myself before and I'm very interested to hear that you have something similar.
I'm no nearer to finding out exactly why they do it, only that they are able to manipulate and modulate our voices to say what they want to.
Curiouser curiouser...
Best wishes, Rachel

Hello all
I'm hoping someone out there has better ears than me! I can hear a male voice and whistling behind me but I can't make out what he's saying.
I am saying "That's the Arthur Findlay College".
Your interpretations would be most welcome
Best wishes,

Wow!
I am hearing 2 different frequencies underneath you, Rachel. At the beginning I can hear a high toned "electronic squeal" type voice, saying something I cannot make out. At 1.08 - 1.09 seconds, right behind you, I hear the beginning syllable of the voice Ron mentions. However, I hear the second voice start when you say the "Col..." of "College", giving it an extra syllable or two
So I am hearing that last voice (like a radio voice) say something similar to "Indubitably" (or something of that nature).
I did not hear a "whisper" - both voices sounded pretty lively!
Be well!
Rick
PS
I had the enjoyable fortune to go through your entire website - Excellent Work!

Hello Ron
Thanks a lot for cleaning the clip, I can hear the voice much more clearly but I'm still not able to understand it. Where do you hear the word Absolutely amongst my speech?

Hi Rick
Thanks very much for your kind words about the site, it took many hours of frustration to get it all to work as I wanted and feedback is alway appreciated, especially when it's positive!
I must say, you have excellent hearing! I can't quite seem to hear all that you and Ron do but I'm not the best at interpreting recordings. I think that's why they usually speak clearly, otherwise they know they'll not be understood.
The recording was done in a strictly controlled environment and there are effects on this recording that I've not heard before. Would you be interested in having a listen to a few more?
The more ears the better!
Best wishes, Rachel

"Tom"
Hi RR
I hear "Don't you know he's right" (spirit agreeing with Tom- in saying spirit pictures look like a dog)
The spirit sounds a softly & slowly spoken elderly man with british accent -who may also wear false teeth, for he makes a whistling sound when saying "he's" ..(but then -why would spirits need false teeth?)Last edited on Feb 8th, 2013 08:38 PM by pol |

Hi Ron
Huge thanks for your picture, it helped me link to the sound your hearing but I still can't get it. We all hear differently and I think you're able to pick out something I can't. Very frustrating!
Best wishes, Rachel

Hello folks
As you all seem to have much better hearing than me, I'd appreciate your interpretation of the middle section of speech.
The end voice is a lovely little boy who communicates quite often and is always very clear, I'm not sure if it's his voice or a mutation of mine in the middle.
Rachel - It is very nice to hear your voices
Voice - xxx

Rick,
I noticed on the "See You Later" Clip
I believe that I also hear a Male Voice saying "It's Me" at the very end.

Hello all
I think I've answered my own question on the previous clip I posted. I'm quite sure that the voice of the child says "I get hope Rachel, can I try with you?". When it was played through another program it was clearer.
I've updated the following page with new clips from last weekends seance and a short mid-week recording;
http://www.evp-voices.info/evp-voices_recent_conversations.html
Hope you find them interesting!
Best wishes, Rachel

That's pretty cool pol! I do hear something there, but I can hardly make it out. I need to find some software with a good "hiss removal" feature in it.
Thanks for the "ears"!

Hello all
Very puzzled by this evening's recording. I physically heard what I thought was a man's voice in the room.
What was recorded sounds more like tuneful whistling but here's the rub - you can only hear it on the tape recording (blank tape) not on the digital recorder but on the digital recorder there's loud interference after I finish speaking that isn't captured on the tape recording. The attached clip is the tape recording, my next post is the digital recording.
This is the second week in a row that I've recorded whistling with a distinct tune. We have a controlled seance next week, I'm crossing my fingers that the sitters might be able to hear it too!
Best wishes,

I can definitley hear the whistling - clear as a bell! When the clip first starts, it sounds like the closing note of a measure of the tune being whistled. I can almost name that tune. Then, a 2 count break before the tune starts again.
Would you have a longer clip available - beginning earlier and lasting longer than the time on the posted clip? I'm wondering if there is a message as far as "song selection" goes? Or maybe a clue as to identity or time period of spirit??
Definitly not on the digital recording!
Nice - Thanks for posting!

Hello Reshrick, Eyewave
Thank you very much for listening to the clips.
Reshrick, I will try and post a longer clip this week. We've had many types of music and singing in the background of seances but despite asking repeatedly, didn't find out who it was. Whistling for me is unusual.
Eyewave, I was alone in the cottage, there was no TV or radio was turned on.
If the whistling sound was in the environment, I would have expected it to be caught on both devices. And as it was feint, I would have thought it would be more likely the digital rather than the tape recorder captured it.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Hello all
Been busy avoiding writing the paper and getting ready for an exciting seance taking place very soon. I was in the seance room today getting it ready, after being redecorated and did a short 11 minute recording. I wasn't expecting to capture any voices but wanted to test a new laptop out. There were a few clips that could be tenuously translated but the attached clip, rather surprised me. Voice 1 sounds like me but definitely is not;
Voice 1 - This isn't what I was thinking
Voice 2 - I thought I could sort it
Voice 1 - Do you know that
Voice 3 - ( not able to understand )
Voice 4 - We warned you
If you have any idea what the third voice may be saying, please let me know.
Fingers crossed it bodes well for the seance!
