Some people have used a  "crowd babble"  recording in an attempt to improve EVP responses.

One plays a crowd babble at a lower volume during an EVP session so that transform EVP's can be heard during review.


There is a free program called EVP Maker that can take short snippets of sound / speech and play them back in random order....allowing you to create your own crowd babble file.
