This was a simple experiment using my old wind up Victrola and a stainless steel disc in place of the record. The polished surface of the disc has concentric grooves but nothing deep enough for the phonograph needle to track on. The result is a static type of noise or vibration produced without the use of electricity. I used a DA200 recorder but this has worked with other recorders and my video camera.

Filtering is done in Sound Soap however at times I have heard words just listening.

This sounds like a message.

"Eternity will bring change to the World"

Thanks for listening

Dave

This capture sounds like testing is taking place.

Thanks Kris!  Please let me know if you can hear a last name on this next capture. They gave a city and a name which is not that common in my sessions. Typically I will get one or the other, rarely both together.

"From Roanoke Texas this is John......"

Thanks again,

Dave

Sometimes they will yell out a couple words, like a tech tip or advice. I should really catalog these as they typically mean more during a future time or experiment.

"Big capacitors"

Wow.  That is really cool.  The last name seems to begin with an 'L'.  Littman, Libman - something like that?
