This was recorded two years ago in a catholic cemetery in Watsonville,Ca.   I had been experimenting with ways to get them to say their names...on this particular day I would say their first names and initial if one was listed  in a drawn out fashion and then remain silent.  I say "Carlos   M'' and Carlos answered "Parra".  His hispanic accent is clear. This is my best evp to date.

Howdy Neil,

I listened to your clip and have heard other responses.  I have listed them here for your consideration:

Time Index  0.0.0 - .0.00.541

Just prior to your saying Carlos

Male voice says:  "obstruction"

Time Index  0.0.961 - 0.01.961

Male voice says:  "sophomore"

There is also secondary voice that says in Spanish:    "cerra la puerta"

which means:  it closes the door  or   close the door

Time Index 0.01.984 - 0.03.509

Right after you say the word  M

Female voice says:  "good evening Carlos"

Thanks for the opportunity to listen to this EVP.

Take Care,
Ron

Hello again Neil,

I don't understand???

Why the personal attack???

Do you not think it possible for there to be more than one response in any given clip???

If you have revisited the clip and not heard what I hear,  I would be happy to go into further detail on the software and settings I used.

I would also be willing to assist you with any EVP you may be having difficulties with.

Cheers,
Ron

OK Neil,

Ummm,  this does nothing to promote the greater good.

In the face of obvious sarcasm,  I shall take the upper road in this matter and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.    Take Care.

Sincerely,
Ron

Gotta love that EVP! I hope we can all get back to the resonance that Mark Macy talks about--it will go a long way to improving our contacts, even more that any man-made techy item, as those on the other side have repeatedly stated. Vicki

I'd just like to add that often we get very sensitive about our own EVP. I think that if a person asks for assistance in analyzing the EVP, then fine, but if the person posts the EVP with a (their) clear interpretation and does not ask, I don't go there. That does not mean I won't comment if I hear it a bit differently, but I won't analyze an EVP that wasn't put up for analysis--this can be done through pm'ing and then posting if both parties agree. Saves time and possible rankled feelings. Keith has asked me to kind of keep an eye on things in this part of the forum and I hope we can all just get along (or as my son's tshirt used to say "Why can't we all just get a bong?") Vicki:)

Deborah, Vicki

My atheist brother has a very hard time explaining this capture away.....there are only two plausible explanations.......it's either bogus or paranormal. This is the capture I use to convince friends and family......Thanks Carlos

                                                                     Thanks  Neil

Hi Neil,
If that's the case with your brother, I would have to say it's paranormal, all right. For instance, I know full well that no one was around me when I got "Josephine." (Sony ICD-B26). I had walked away and was listening to what I had recorded when I heard it loud and clear and walked right back to her stone to confirm it! How does one explain that logically unless there is an entity speaking the name of the person interred there? Unfortuantely, at the time, I didn't use your method of saying their names aloud for confirmation--now I almost always do. Thanks for posting it Neil. Vicki

Hi,

Unless I am missing something, there are either deleted posts or wrong assumptions in the above posts.

I will make it very simple. If someone posts a clip and asks for input, answer them honestly and briefly. If they don't ask for input, and post it, then don't expect a reply. If you make a comment on their posts and they disagree, then leave it alone.

You see, people don't post things here to be disagreed with, do they? If they ask for a comment, and they receive it, then all is well. If you disagree, there is no need to elaborate as to why you disagree because this quickly becomes perceived as "pleading your case." I would define "pleading your case" as spending far too much time in disagreement with someone's else's work than in agreement with your own.

I have rewritten this post several times, always trying to keep it short and to the point, but have a habit of going into depth on issues like this.

Most EVP is NOT understood, regardless of what anyone says. And to focus too much on the importance of what is heard (what you think you hear) is also not wise, nor is it beneficial to the field of ITC.

When someone posts a clip, you do one of three things in response to their clips:

A. I hear what you hear
B. I hear it as this: "XXX"
C. Don't reply at all.

And that's it! That's all that people on this forum are looking for, is it not? Extended conversations on what is or isn't heard is not usually helpful, from my experience. Because deep down inside, all of us know that we are working towards the same purpose, and we all know that evp is difficult. We just want to know that we are on the right path, that is why we come together on this forum.

There, I think the post is complete this time. :)

Keith
