For those who are interested in doing radio sweep but having a hard time finding the 12-469.....there are other options. The following link is to a website that shows you how to mod three different model radios including the new radio shack 12-587. I checked online, and as of this writing, all three model radios are available for purchase through amazon, radio shack or where ever. http://www.keyportparanormal.com/simpleghostboxhack.html Good Luck, Ron
