I include a picture of the "water trough" here because I use this place and talk about it alot. It was built in 1906 and was used to water the horses back during the early township...people can drink from it also as it has only been turned off one time (for about 10 days during the flood of '93). It has small areas at the bottom for dogs and cats....neat how they took care of them too back then It is included on the list of Iowa's Historical Places. Many spirits are still coming to it as my recordings have proven to me. Cell phone picture...so it's not very straight.
