Tonight I tried an experiment placing my optical (flame) microphone in the center of the crystal bowl. Last night in a session I got a name "Ralph Kunzelman". So I called out for a message from Ralph. The response is somewhat melodic and almost clearer then my own voice. The resonance of the bowl seems to act as a good carrier for the voices. Listen at a low volume level at first, this seems to help with clarity. Dave: "Ralph Kunzelman, do you have a message for us?"
