I use DC7 so I'm not sure how if DC6 has the same filters....but assuming it does..... Option - 1 Open your file in DC6 From the task bar select Filter Look for and select Continuous Noise A new window opens Click the Sample Noise button to load the profile of your clip For starters....set your sliders to the following: Attack 50 Release 100 Attenuation 25 With Normal CNF showing in the window below the sliders: Click the Preview button Your clip will start playing in a loop. You can raise or lower the Attenuation if you want to. You can also click the Up or Down arrows of Shift Threshold (located above reset button) Option - 2 Open your file in DC6 From the task bar select Forensics Select EZ Forensics A new window opens up. From the drop down menu select AFDF – Heavy Random Noise Reduction (or Heavy General ) Hit the Preview Button to start the filter. Adjust the output level for comfort. See the turquoise / blue square on the screen? Click and drag the button down and around and start fishing. You might be surprised at the additional stuff you can hear. Hope this helps, Ron
