 Hey Ray

                          I use a Sony ICD-B600 a no frills recorder and I don't use an external mike.  I'm a big believer in 'Transform' evp and so I record when there is wind.  After two years of cemetery recording I've found that a wind of 10-15 miles per hour is perfect., I just say their names or ask a scripted question. ex: "where are you"......"can you say your name"than remain silent for 30 seconds.
