My wife and I made a similar pact with one another that we would try to contact each other.
Rather strange occurance today. I was in a half sleep as I was on the couch as I can not yet sleep in our bed and my cell phone rang. I got up to answser it as I have been getting a great deal of calls from friends and supporters and it simply rang twice and said "no number".
I have had this cell phone for almost 4 years, yes I know, outdated, but in my entire history with this phone that has never happened.
I am not chalking it up to contact, yet. However, it gets my mind even more motivated to keep pursueing this form of contact.
