The PT2399 is a tough chip....
If you are inexperienced in building there are a few guitar stomboxes that use it.

Rogue Analog delay.
Belcat analog delay.
Modtone analog delay....
All three of those are the same unit, just skinned different and rebranded.

The "Analog" refers to the sound style of the delay....not necessarily a true BBD delay

also the NADY MM-14FX is a pt2399 delay built on to a 4 channel battery powered mixer.....

Belton is also making Digi-Log solidstate digital reverb module that goes for about 15 bucks.....probably need OPamps on the front and the back to make it useable.
