 Now, this is just me thinking and theorising, I know nothing about these EMF meters for detecting possible spirits, but thinking that was is being detected is ElectroMagneticFields, that:
All one needs is a small spool of fine insulated wire hooked up to the leads of the probes, or a hand turned loop of fine wire.
One should be able to set the meter on the lowest millivolt or Ohm-age and be able to detect electricity from the coil generated by electromagnetism nearby.

Input welcome! (even if it's electromagnetic)
