 OK, I will look into getting kit 23 then or/and the step thing Frank posted.
May even fart around with the 555 despite your criticism since I am the type who learns best by failing himself.

Learn by trying, and failing.

About the DC thing, it's all above zero and does not dip into the negative territory in the sine wave path.

As far as I now (think I) know.
