There isn't anything on the web about this. It's something I stumbled on a while back.
I was using an equalizer one day and noticed if I attenuated all the sliders except for 500Hz I could faintly hear it. As I raised the 500Hz slider slightly the voice became more prominent...but not loud enough to fully understand. It seems to be a medium pitched male. I'll see about an example or two.
