I would suggest that before you specify exactly who you wish to talk to, you read all you can on ITC and the different ways of recording EVP.
I would be very surprised to only receive foreign language unless I was in a foreign country and even then, recordings do tend to be in the language of the experimenter.
It may well be that you are picking up Russian voices because of the link with your partner. In your position I would recommend welcoming anyone forward, by all means ask for an English speaking communicator, but I certainly wouldn't be too specific. There are well known groups that are reported as sending communications but I have never received a message from one, so couldn't advise on their ability to respond to requests.
This site has a wide readership and I know that there are Russian visitors. I'm sure if you posted your voice clips here, members would be very willing to help.
