I use a Digital recorder, an Ovilus X and a P-SB7. sometimes alone. Other times concurrently.

The key being Electronic Voice Phenomenon.... Not "Recorded Voice Phenomenon"

The ability to manipulate a signal (or non-signal in the form of an untuned radio or television signal).

We "Warm Bodies" use a variety of means of communication. Why should we limit ourselves (or Spirit for that matter) to just one means of communicating.

Do "EVP Purists" limit them selves to just one recorder? Do they try various brands... Manufacturers... types (tape or digital), etc? Does a computer with a microphone count as a digital recorder?

What about background noise? What if you are using a white noise generator? What about room echo, wind, building creaks?

there are so many possible variables that I choose to use any means (at least try) reasonable to make contact.

Most great discovery is come about by divergent thinkers (those that think outside the norms or "box").

Why limit possibilities?

Just M2CW

Cheers
Frank
