Hello Scott,

Welcome to the forum.

Wow....you got a couple of DR60's. :woot:

The shielding issue you bring up is valid. I also think the low bit rate it records at produces more noise which equates to more evp's.

As far as mic sensitivity, maybe one of our other members could offer an opinion.

To transfer your recording into the computer...you are going to need an audio cable with 2 male ends.

Plug one end into the earphone jack of the recorder and the other end into the microphone input of you computer's sound card.

Bring up an audio program like Audacity or ???....press play on the DR60 and record the output.
