I've had a play with the app SpiritVox and I have to admit it made me feel uncomfortable. It has a limited American vocabulary that is a governed by a randomised algorithm. On the Apple app it clearly states it's for entertainment purposes. Call me old fashioned but I think the more traditional approach is more likely to yield more creditable, genuine communication.
I am genuinely fascinated by Frank's Box and the clip that you posted Kenda, is great. I have no doubt that radio waves can be manipulated in the same way that background noise can but there still is a little niggle in my mind that it's pure chance broadcasts that are picked up. I will have to make a box for myself and have a go. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
