Ah I see. Well the $1 radios just have the volume, as you know. It would need some delving into the SC1088, but I doubt that anything quite so simple as may be envisaged would work out. It could be possible to use a 555 timer circuit and variable pot resistor, to make the radio scan for a certain time and stop, so it would work like a tuner....but you have the Coby for that sort of radio. Wait though, here's a line from the datasheet: "1. Mechanical tuning: This is possible with or without integrated AFC circuit" Hey, I found this page: http://frrl.wordpress.com/2009/02/28/a-fm-radio-for-one-dollar-how-is-this-possible/ It's a good write up, he shows the schematic, talks about it and gives some good hints on the whole radio As to Canada. Well, if you know anyone with $13million and a restored DeLorean DMC-12 to offer for building circuits for them, then i'd move to any country LOL EDIT - Oh hilarious, at the bottom of that page is a link back to here, to this page ! How's that for looping eh Last edited on Sep 6th, 2012 06:09 PM by Slider2732 |
