A down and out schizophrenic ventriloquist living in a burnt out shell of a house, who's in possession of an electro-larynx invents a device ,Spiricom, capable of real-time direct communication with the afterlife. He records this supposed communication, and is paid for doing so, but when the time came to present his findings to the world, the Spiricom goes silent.
